Dupont Collision Training
Hendrick Motorsports has teamed up with long time Jeff Gordon #24 Car sponsor Dupont to create the ultimate collision center and repair facility in the country. This 50,000 S.F. facility houses state-of-the-art paint application systems capable of providing technicians with top-notch training in applying Dupont's multi-line automotive finishing products including their patented chromallusion paint. Training classrooms immediately adjacent to the paint stations provide smart technology learning environments for the students to grasp the engineering side of the paint application process. The lobby houses a display vehicle showing off Dupont's superior automotive finishes as well as some of Jeff Gordon's superior driving moments. Offices and classrooms are located on the 2nd floor of the facility and overlook the training center.
Adjacent to the training facility is a full-service collision center under the operation of Hendrick Automotive Group. This portion of the facility houses 20+ mechanical bays, frame alignment bays, parts department, detailing bays as well as a multi-stall paint booth system. Supporting the collision repair shop are 5 estimator offices, customer reception and waiting areas and exterior estimating stalls with lifts. This collision repair center serves several newly built Hendrick Automotive Retail Facilities in the immediate area.
The connection between the training component and the fully-functioning collision center under the same roof undoubtably creates a stimulating learning environment and creates unique relationships between technician and trainee.
