Portfolio - Retail/Other

466 King Street

Deep in the heart of historic Charleston, located on an up and coming street, bustling with high-end retail and restaurants, sits the shell of a three story dilapidated building, begging to be brought back to life. That is exactly what Christopher Price and Primesouth Properties believed when they bought it. REDLINE was asked to make the vision of turning it into a high-end, mixed-use retail and condo unit a reality. Starting with three exterior walls and no floor structures, REDLINE has in filled the building with street-front prime retail space on the 1st floor and added 5 condo units on the top three floors, with the top floor being a single condo with a roof terrace. A small addition to the rear of the building, providing space for 2 condos per floor rather than one, allowed the owner to justify the cost of the renovations. REDLINE has masterfully preserved the character of the historic Charleston exterior facade while integrating modern, upscale, urban condo aesthetics, charm and amenities to the interior, making this adaptive re-use project a hot commodity in the housing and retail market.
