REDLINE Design Group - TRD Chassis Engineering

Redline was recently selected to design a new Chassis Engineering Facility for a major NASCAR team that would provide engineering and R&D support to multiple race teams in the area. The building includes engineering offices, R&D space, track testing rigs, chassis fabrication, lobby & display space, conference areas and several team meeting rooms. The equipment in this facility is state-of-the-art testing equipment that simulates actual track conditions, which will allow the teams to spend less time testing and more time refining their engineering data. This facility is projected to be LEED Certified. With skylights and daylighting glazing, rainwater collection cisterns, energy efficient mechanical systems, low emission finishes and recyclable building materials, this facility will be low-impact and environmentally friendly. The interiors are clean and bright with lots of views and natural light. The main lobby elements include a chassis display wall for hanging race chassis from recessed wall channels as well as custom displays for trophies, graphics and driver gear. The corporation's mission to be successful through refinement and with minimal impact is truly conveyed through the design of this simple, yet beautiful building.
