Bella Casa

Bella Casa is a locally owned and operated furniture and accessories boutique specializing in the sale of high-end furniture and accessories. Their one-of-kind merchandise primarily comes from “Trade” only furniture showrooms & manufacturers located in High Point, NC. They also offer custom upholstered pieces and residential interior design services. Their existing location in south Charlotte was lacking in open space, natural light and referenced a more traditional color palette. They needed their new space to be more open and flexible and to help bridge the gap between their traditional clientele and a new generation of clients and that desire a more modern décor. The space plan for their new showroom in Providence Plaza was left open to capture the natural light spilling through both ends of their showroom and to allow display flexibility. Full-length custom sheers were suspended from a floating drywall ceiling plan to visually divide the larger portion of the showroom and provide a flexible backdrop for room vignettes. The ceilings were painted and left exposed to the structure to give a sense of drama and volume. The lighting was varied to add architectural interest and highlight merchandise. And, the color palette was a neutral and updated canvas of cream, white, silver-blue and warm chocolate tones which lends a modern twist to the traditional palette previously used. The end result is an open and inviting space with unique architectural elements, dramatic lighting and a modern, eclectic appeal. |
