Starbucks

Starbucks is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable brands in the world. Redline was fortunate in landing one of their coveted stand-alone stores in Hickory, NC. This compact facility incorporates many of Starbucks' current brand elements including louvered canopies that run along the top of the façade, curvilinear entry canopies, as well as fabric awnings that stretch out above the building's large storefront openings. All of these elements, as a design scheme, givethe building a sense of scale and welcome customers inside. The drive-thru function is new to the Starbucks business model and is a trademark of their new stand-alone outparcel facilities. We were able to meet the challenge of working with the existing site constraints to make access for the drive-thru function and designed the shell around the site access and visibility. At the end of the job, we were able to provide Starbucks with a contextually friendly shell building and helped introduce another store from this popular chain to Hickory on time and on budget.
