Piedmont Behavioral Health

PBH's mission is to establish and maintain a System of Care for people in need of treatment for Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse conditions who live in Cabarrus, Davidson, Rowan, Stanly and Union Counties. They are a well-established healthcare provider and are growing to meet the growing needs of the community. They recently completed a beautiful new facility with the help of Redline Design Group. Entasis contracted Redline to design the Interiors and help coordinate with the exterior shell and structure.
The interiors are designed to be soothing and comfortable, yet intriguing, thought-provoking and fun – especially for their younger patients. A mixture of warm woods, natural stone and plush carpets meet with sleek metals and patterned glass to provide a contemporary interior with traditional overtones. Design elements include art work niches for patients' artwork, graphic panels, open glass rooms with abundant natural light, and a large sky-lit corridor leading to the large training & meeting rooms. Another key element is the food bar/lounge area that overlooks a large natural area via an attached balcony with outdoor seating. The interiors of the lounge are fun and exuberant with floating circular ceiling elements, circular floor patterns, natural wood, stone walls and plenty of glass.
The goal of the interior vision was to lighten and lift the soul of the burdens they carry and to provide the appropriate environment for emotional healing and well-being. This theme carries down to the smallest of details inside the building as well as the exterior facades and landscaping.
