101 South Tryon Street is a 40-story landmark office tower built in 1974 located in Uptown at the center of Charlotte’s Central Business District on the corner of Trade & Tryon. This project presented a unique opportunity to reshape the public square and tenant experience. With a $20 million façade and lobby renovation, Redline created a more pedestrian-friendly facade with retail storefronts, outdoor seating areas and a new main building entry to engage the public plaza. This renovation significantly enhances the building’s exterior appearance at street level, and it includes a full renovation of the building lobby and lower level, as well as the creation of 48,000 SF of new retail space on the building’s first floor.
